Hi, I’m Josh — Qiaosi (pronounced “Ciao-si”). I work across strategy, design, and art — though I don’t always separate the three.
I grew up in China and am now based in New York, moving between different cultural contexts and ways of seeing. That in-between space has shaped how I think and how I build ideas.
Currently, I work on campaigns, experiences, and brand storytelling — translating concepts into things people can interact with, feel, and remember. My past work includes projects with brands such as CeraVe, Cetaphil, Dove, and COVERGIRL.
Alongside this, I maintain an active art practice, creating installations and visual work that explore identity, perception, and personal mythology. This practice sharpens my sensitivity to visual language and cultural nuance — allowing me to approach creative work with a more intuitive eye and a stronger sense of what resonates.
As a Gen Z creative, I’m deeply tuned into pop culture, music, and emerging cultural signals. I grew up with over a decade of classical flute training, but these days my playlists probably say more about me. If you ever need music recommendations, cultural references, or just want to exchange ideas — feel free to reach out.
And like most things in this field — none of it happens alone.
